Monumental Weekend...

What a weekend... My grandfather is a POW from WWII and this weekend his hard work and determination was seen by all. He had a POW monument put up at the VA hospital in Fresno, CA and wow was it beautiful. He was a little emotional about it and was exhausted after the fact. But what can you expect he is 87 and still acts like hes in his 60's. He truly is a great man who has seen a lot and done a lot. This monument that he had built not only represents all those who are POW MIAs but this will be his physical monument for ever. I am so lucky to have a grandfather as great as him. There was about 50 of us (meaning friends and family) at the ceremony which I know made papa very happy. Later that day we all joined together and had a celebration for papa and his monument but also him being 87 this month along with the other April birthdays including mine and my daughters. It was so great to be able to be around family. It was truly a great day!

Resurrection Day

Well Easter was nice... It started off a little crapy. Zachary threw a huge fit to get dressed and didnt want to go anywhere. But eventually we got it done. Church was nice and I learned a new term for the day... Happy Resurrection Day! I like the term for the day a lot. Learning that the word easter comes from the paigens it makes more since to call the day Resurection Day since that is in fact what we are celebrating. Everyone at church loved Maddis hat and thought it was so cute that she actually kept it on. The best part is that I bought the hat at the dollar store and just jazzed it up. This is the first Easter in a long time that it has rained but it didn't rain until we got home and were going to do eggs. So we had our egg hunt in the house. All Maddi wanted to do was eat the eggs so her face was starting to get a little color on it from the color on the eggs. After that I cooked a fantastic meal. Tangerine-glazed ham, sweet potatoes, and green beans. It was all very picture perfect and very yummy. That was our Resurrection Day and it was a very nice one.

Coloring Eggs....

Well tonight we colored eggs as a family... I have always wondered "Why do we color eggs on Easter?" Well no matter what we had a blast... The kids love it and Matt being the big kid that he is loves to mix the eggs in all the colors... Zachary loved it and Maddi liked taking the egg out of the cup but then she wanted to eat it. I know they are going to have a lot of fun hunting for eggs tomorrow...

Patience..........

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhha........ To be a mom of a 4 year old is wearing on my patience.... What do you do when you tell him to stop 5 billion times and he still does it. Or you ask him to do one thing and just completly ingnores you. Aww what it is to be 4. Such a hard life, play, eat, drink, and occasionally sleep. I miss him actually listening and being good. I know he is 4 and not 30 but hey a woman can dream that her child might actually listen to her. "Take a nap" and all you get is no and complete rebellion. I don't know I just needed to vent. I know we'll get through it just wish it was sooner rather than latter. Have a great day!

Good Morning...

Laying in bed and wakikng up to a screaming child in her crib... Then I'm thinking to myself... "Why is she screaming"... I wait a couple of minutes and then proceed to get up and find an explosive diaper... It was like "Good Morning Mommy here is a big pile of crap." Well I get her cleaned up and carry on with our morning. Just a little bit ago I go to lay Maddi down for her nap to find that not only was there crap all on her this morning but also all over her bed, her pillow and stuffies. Aww to be a mom. Its not the first time this has ever happened to me but its not mentioned when you think about having kids. Oh well time to go on with the rest of our day... Hope its less crapy and more calm. Enjoy your day too.

April Fools...

Well this is my first blog and I am really excited about it... To get to share my thoughts and also my new crafts. Untill my daughter was born I never thought of myself as being very crafty and now here I am making some spectacular tutus and really cute bows/clippies... Today my husband Matt started a new job (Thank God). I hope this is going to be a good thing for us and then maybe I can go back to work. I finished school last year for Medical Assisting... but with life I haven't been able to go to work yet. I love being a stay at home mom but I also love working. That is why I started making the bows and tutus because I need something to do (work wise) besides cleaning and laundry...By the way the pic of the messy little girl is my daughter Maddison she is a cheese ball but a quick little learner (walking since she was 9 months old). And the other pic is my son Zach he just turned four. He is what we call a dork-a-zach-a-saurus. He can be a handful but all in all he is a great kid. Well I can't wait till I have some followers and I hope you enjoy hearing from me. Also if you see any products you like please message me. Thanks a bunch and god bless. Have an aweful day! ! ! ! ...................April Fools! (I know its dorky)
